People have met. People have talked. Fandom will be organized. Conrunners and other active fans from the Nordic countries will meet:
We're looking forward to a weekend of deeply serious fun - figuring out how to work together, how to cooperate and how to learn from each other. The initial plan was to use a conference hotel and pay what that costs. The feedback from prospective participants was that this was too expensive. So we're using a cheaper facility, food will be organised separately, and accomodation will be organised by each person going.
The site will be Valby Medborgerhus just outside the centre of Copenhagen. There's plenty of places to eat and sleep in the vicinity, more information on that will come.
We recommend staying at the
Hotel Rossini. We're too small to get a
discount, but the hotel is the closest to Valby Medborgerhus and quite
reasonable - and you can easily

The hotel Rossini is also the meeting place on the Friday. Be in the lobby there at 19:00 and we'll all march off to the local Persian restaurant. If you're late, use our map.

The deadline for paying in advance has passed, the price at the door will be DKK 250. People who have already paid the originally announced much higher attendance fee will be refunded the difference then and there.

The idea was born in the aftermath of Finncon 2003 and discussed in more detail by those of us attending Swecon 2003. Why not have a regular forum where conrunners and others with an active interest in fandom can meet and discuss?
Anglo-American fandom has had its annual Smofcon for years. More local and/or specialized similar events exist, such as the staff planning weekends which all Worldcons run once or twice every year, and there are regional events to supplement the Worldcon-focused Smofcon in the US. It was our feeling that such an event specifically for conrunners from the Nordic (Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, potentially Iceland and the Baltic) countries is worth doing, and worth having.
