About Snorfcon

Much of the activity in fandom doesn't just happen by itself, like pub gatherings; it must be arranged or organized, be it the running of an Amateur Press Association, a successful sercon fanzine, an amateur writer's workshop, or a convention.

Fans who engage in these kinds of activities benefit from discussing them together, and there is usually very little time to do so during ordinary cons. Thus Snorfcon: a meta convention for really active Nordic fans.

Snorfcon is currently an event with a focus on conrunning in the Nordic (Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, potentially Iceland and the Baltic) countries, but all kinds of fanac can be discussed during the sessions. It is also a forum for building up and strengthening the ties between our national fandoms, perhaps with a common Nordic con as a spin-off effect.

The above means that Snorfcon is the place to have fun in a serious and metaconstructive way with great people. Both Friday and Saturday end with a dinner and a visit to a pub. Join us! It's dirt cheap, you know.
